  • Liverpool dressing room insider talks about Mohamed Salah’s transfer situation
  • Should Liverpool keep Salah out of the team?

Mohamed Salah is not happy with his situation at Liverpool after being left out of the squad for the last two consecutive Premier League games by manager Arne Slott.

As first reported in my exclusive article for the Daily Briefing, Salah remained professional and there was no incident in the dressing room.

However, sources say the Egyptian international is now more likely to leave Anfield in January, with Saudi Arabian clubs and MLS likely to make a move to sign him.

A source said, “Unless the situation changes, it’s hard to think of anything other than Salah leaving.” “He’s not happy with the situation. He’s always going to approach the situation professionally, but I don’t think he’s going to spend another six months on the bench and I know there will be interest.”

A source refuted this, saying, “Nothing has been decided yet.” “Let’s see what happens in a few weeks.”

Salah only signed a new contract in the summer after turning down the Saudi club, but things can change quickly in football and it’s clear the 33-year-old won’t be able to put up with the status quo for long.

Should Liverpool keep Salah out of the team?

The source also suggested that the rest of the LFC squad feels that Salah’s absence from the team may be helping the overall balance of the squad.

However, it is also not yet confirmed whether the slot will keep Salah on the bench, so he could return to the starting lineup for the next game and still have a role, even if it would certainly be harder to play 90 minutes every few days.

Salah is a legendary figure at Liverpool and it’s a shame to see him struggling, but it may seem a bit premature to write him off just yet.

Yet, it is also inevitable that this current situation presents serious uncertainties.
