  • Mohamed Salah’s explosive quote in full as Liverpool’s season spirals further out of control
  • Will Arne Slot be able to recover from this situation?

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah slammed Arne Slott in a fiery interview following Saturday night’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United.

The Egyptian international was left on the bench by coach Slott for three games in a row and it is clear that he is not at all happy with the Dutch tactician’s decision.

After the match, Salah didn’t hold back when he said he had nothing to do with the Liverpool manager and suggested someone was trying to force him out of the club.

The 33-year-old also admitted he was extremely disappointed in his treatment, saying he felt like he had been thrown under the bus despite having made a huge contribution to the Reds over the years.

Salah didn’t hold back from his thoughts after another poor result for Liverpool in what is shaping up to be a nightmare season, see what Salah had to say below, according to vg.no.

“I can’t believe it. I’m very disappointed,” he said.

“I’ve done a lot for this club, and I think everyone can admit that over the years, especially last season. I’m on the bench and I don’t know why. I feel like the club is throwing me under the bus. That’s how I feel.”

“I said many times that I had a good relationship with the coach, but suddenly it stopped. I don’t know why.

“To be honest, that’s not acceptable to me. I don’t know why the same thing always happens to me. ‘We’re throwing Mo under the bus because he’s the problem.’ I don’t think I’m the problem.”

“I called my mum yesterday and you didn’t know I wasn’t going to start today. I knew that. Come to the Brighton game, it doesn’t matter whether you play or not, you’re going to have fun.”

“Let’s see what happens. In my mind I’m just going to enjoy it because you never know what’s going to happen anyway. The game will be at Anfield so I’ll say goodbye before I go to AFCON.”

“The club has made a lot of promises this summer. So far he’s been on the bench for three games in a row. I can’t say they’re keeping their promises.”

Will Arne Slot be able to recover from this situation?

Needless to say, this interview couldn’t have come at a worse time for Slott.

The Reds manager is really struggling to get his team together at the moment and Salah has publicly criticized him and undermined his authority here.

Many Liverpool fans will support Salah at this point as he is a legend at the club, but that would not necessarily be the most professional move.

Still, for a player to talk so openly about it, you have to wonder quite a bit about how bad things were going on behind the scenes between Salah and Slott.
