Manchester United are hoping to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest at the end of the season.

They will also face competition from rivals Manchester City. According to a report in the Mirror, it could cost around £75m to sign players in the summer. Both clubs are expected to enter a competition to sign the player. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Manager Thomas Tuchel praised him as an “elite player”.

Elliott Anderson may be considering a move

Anderson is aware of the fact that he, along with Nottingham Forest, could be relegated from the Premier League and will not want to compete in the second tier of English football. He wants to remain in the top flight and joining one of the two Manchester clubs would be ideal for him.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, paid £35m to sign the striker and are hoping to make a handsome profit if he moves in the summer.

The 23-year-old has been a reliable performer in the Premier League and he will greatly improve Manchester United. He could be the ideal long-term replacement for Casemiro, who leaves the club this summer. Manchester United are looking vulnerable at the back and signing a reliable defensive midfielder could solve that problem. He helps protect the defensive unit and allows creative players to operate more freely.

At 23 years old, he has a lot of room to grow and could develop into one of the club’s top players.

Meanwhile, Manchester City could also use more depth in the defensive midfield area. It will be interesting to see if they can get a deal done. They are probably in a good position to compete for major trophies, but it remains to be seen whether that will make a difference in deciding the future of the player.
