Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Turkish defender Ferdi Kadioglu.

The 26-year-old left-back has been in excellent form since joining Brighton and has become a key player for Brighton. According to a report in Turkish publication Sporx, Manchester United are closely monitoring his development and could consider a move in the summer.

It’s no secret that they need a quality left-back. They will need a replacement for Luke Shaw in the long term and the Turkey international could be ideal. Kadioglu showed his quality at Brighton in the Premier League and has the quality to play for a bigger club.

The opportunity to join Manchester United could be an exciting one for Kadioglu. It will be a step up for him and he will be playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Manchester United will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season, making them an attractive destination for quality players.

Kadioglu is at the peak of his career and now is the perfect time to take on a new challenge. Brighton could command a premium for him as he is under contract with the English club until 2028. Manchester United need to improve several areas of their squad, but are unlikely to pay more than the odds for the Turkish international.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can agree a reasonable deal with Brighton.

Kadioglu has shown in the Premier League that he is a reliable defender and can also influence the game at the other end of the pitch. The Turkish defender put in a great performance in his last match against Chelsea, scoring the opening goal and creating a number of chances for his teammates.
