  • Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea are among Premier League clubs chasing Jarrod Bowen
  • Bowen’s comments suggest he will remain at West Ham next season

Jarrod Bowen will be one of the hottest signings this summer following West Ham’s relegation, with reports suggesting several Premier League giants have been linked with the winger.

Despite the club’s disastrous fall from the top flight, the England international’s stock remains incredibly high after an impressive individual campaign.

But despite intense speculation surrounding his future, the winger has dropped major hints that he intends to spearhead the Hammers’ promotion bid next season.

Understandably, West Ham’s relegation has Europe’s elite on high alert.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all reportedly monitoring Bowen’s situation closely and view him as a proven Premier League talent who could potentially be acquired at a cut price.

Liverpool have been interested in him for some time and Chelsea are monitoring him as part of an active recruitment strategy.

Recent reports also suggest that Man United owners INEOS want the recently relegated attacker.

Financial pressure on West Ham will only make the situation worse. Reports suggest the club may need to raise more than £100m in player sales to survive life in the Championship, and Bowen is on a reported £150,000-a-week wage and is under contract until 2030, meaning he could command a sizeable transfer fee if a suitor comes his way.

Bowen’s comments suggest he will remain at West Ham next season

Despite a chorus of clubs lining up for his signature, Bowen’s post-match words after the Leeds defeat sent a powerful message about where his loyalties lie.

Speaking on the BBC’s Match of the Day, he flatly rejected questions about his future, saying such a discussion was disrespectful given how raw the pain of relegation is.

“I’ve been here for six-and-a-half years. There have been a lot of good moments, but this one outweighs all of them. For this club to be relegated… it hurts.”

Asked directly about potential interest from other regions, Bowen ended the conversation by emphasizing:

“It would be disrespectful to anyone to start talking about it. I want this club to remain in the Premier League. This club means so much to me and has given me so much, so my vision is to get this club back into the Premier League.”

These are the words of a man who, for now at least, is looking to his future in east London. The big question remains whether emotion alone will allow him to maintain his most consistent performance in the Premier League this summer in the Championship.
