Wolves were relegated from the Premier League last season and fans may have been looking forward to a fresh start in the Championship after a disastrous year.
Well, so far it hasn’t improved. A big sale was expected, but Joao Gomez is the only big name to have moved to Midlands rivals Aston Villa so far.
Meanwhile, Raul Jimenez will return to the club and Kieran Trippier will also add experience to the group. Sadly, even players already at the club are causing problems.
Training session canceled and additional security called
GiveMeSport’s report today includes some ugly details. Matt Smith (not that one) reports that Wolves were forced to cancel training after one of their first-team players refused to be left out of the session.
New manager Cesar Peixoto told Tor Arrocodare that he was not in his plans, but the striker did not take it well. He refused to go and no one could force him. In the end, practice was canceled.
Incredibly, there was extra security at their Compton Park practice today, according to a report from Nathan Judah. What a frightening atmosphere there must be around the place now. The new manager is taking a break from work to boost morale with the new season not far away.
