Chelsea won the Europa Conference League title last night, becoming the first side to win such a title along with the Europa League and the Champions League.

Enzo Maresca’s team produced a stunning second half comeback after scoring a goal against the real Betis on the break, finishing the game as Rockawa’s 4-1 winner.

Goals from Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho and Moises Kayseko secured the Blues’ victory and concluded the weeks of greatness.

As a result, the Italians claimed his first trophy after taking the reins last summer, and tried to build such success through the 2025/26 campaign.

However, despite the inspirational late comeback, many players were unable to deliver in the European finals, putting their position at Stamford Bridge at a great risk.

Chelsea’s poor performer against Real Betis

Winger Noni Madueke started again at Chelsea last night, but the British were unable to produce performances to remember – often not delivering in the last third.

The 23-year-old only completed 50% of his dribbling and was unable to complete one cross.

Not only did he struggle with playing, but right-backed Malo Guist also produced a disastrous show, which was later replaced by Reese James with a break.

The French had to play in an inverted role, but made the mistake that led to the opener on the Spanish side, but failed to win one of the tackles he entered.

However, despite the show from the aforementioned duo, the other first team member couldn’t stream in the finals, and last night’s outing had to be the Blues’ last.

Chelsea Dad should never play for the club again

Despite these wins, we promise this summer will be huge for Chelsea.

Maresca will have to make some major decisions, such as making the Jadon Sancho deal permanent or paying a £5 million fee to send it back to Manchester United.

When it comes to incoming calls, Liam Delap, Hugo Ekitiké, Joao Pedro and others are all touted in the move to join the Blues, with managers revealing they are targeting reinforcements in the final third.

However, regardless of what deal he decides to pursue or approve, he will need to offload centre back Benoit Badiashile to allow the defender to move to new meadows.

He joined the club on a £35 million contract from Monaco in 2023, making 53 appearances and has come to the conference league for the majority of his shows this season.

The 24-year-old began his final against Betis, featured for 61 minutes before being replaced by academy alumnus Levi Colwill, highlighting his lack of influence.

He may have registered 92 touches, but he was disappointed without the ball, losing 100% of the tackles he entered, committing a foul that led to him being carded.

Badiashile also had only one intercept, unable to get to the top in the aviation duel, and struggled to create a display worthy of the European Cup final.

As a result of his show against Spanish outfits, he received a match rating of just 4/10 by Standard’s Malikuuzia – indicating his lack of positive influence.

With the summer transfer window around the corner, it’s no surprise to anyone that Badya Seal was offloaded during the offseason and ended his spell in West London.

He demonstrated last night that he could not deliver at a critical moment, and Maresca had to sell him this summer by reducing his losses.
