Welcome back to our Daily Fantasy Football recommendations.
Week 3 produced another big winner, highlighted by a dominant Lamar Jackson outing. James Cook scored 21.40 FanDuel points, the second-highest total among running backs on the primary slate, and Garrett Wilson put up 21.7 points to finish second among wideouts, trailing only Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Let’s try to keep that momentum into Week 4.
On FanDuel you’ll construct a lineup under a $60,000 salary cap, with each player priced according to recent play, matchup and projected output. The challenge is balancing expensive stars with value options to maximize your scoring while staying under the cap.

Quarterback
The Jaguars-Bengals game has the highest total on the main slate at 51.5. Despite Cincinnati’s Week 3 defeat to Pittsburgh, Joe Burrow has been sharp, throwing for 743 yards and six touchdowns through three games against generally tough defenses. He now faces a Jacksonville secondary that has been vulnerable to the pass, allowing 8.79 yards per attempt and 13.18 yards per completion (both the fourth-worst marks in the NFL) and surrendering 235.7 net passing yards per game (ninth-most).
C.J. Stroud was a miss as a pick last week, but he draws a favorable matchup in Week 4 against a porous Cowboys pass defense and should get top receiver Nico Collins back. Dallas ranks near the bottom in opponent passer rating (121.3, third-highest), completion percentage allowed (72.6%, second-highest) and is tied for fourth in passing touchdowns allowed (seven). Houston is 0-3 to start the season again, and after last year’s comeback to reach the playoffs they urgently need a win — a matchup like this gives Stroud a strong chance to deliver.
Running Back
Kyren Williams was very efficient in Week 3 versus Denver, rushing 15 times for 88 yards and adding six catches for 70 yards while backup Blake Corum managed only 15 rushing yards. Williams draws a favorable Week 4 spot against an Eagles run defense that was carved up by Case Keenum and the Bears and has allowed 127.3 rushing yards per game (eighth-most in the league).
With Breece Hall out for several weeks, Braelon Allen steps in as the Jets’ lead back. The former Wisconsin runner has the build and burst to handle the workload, and New York could lean on the run in this road game. Allen’s first start comes against a Chicago defense that yields 5.09 yards per carry (second-most) and 117.0 rushing yards per game, making this a promising matchup.
Wide Receiver
DeVonta Smith has flourished as the Eagles’ top receiver, hauling in 19 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown without a drop. He sits among league leaders in receptions (6th), targets (8th) and receiving yards (10th). Last year against the Rams he posted eight catches for 60 yards and a score as Philly’s No. 2 option; with an expanded role in what could be a high-scoring game, he’s in line for another strong outing.
Christian Watson has been the lone spark in a sputtering Packers offense. He ranks fifth in receiving yards (284), sixth in targets and is tied for third in receiving touchdowns (four). Green Bay averages the fewest rushing yards per game in the NFL; against a Buccaneers defense that is stout against the run but more susceptible through the air, Watson could be set for another big performance.
Tight End
Travis Kelce looks closer to his old self, already posting two catches of 40-plus yards (59 and 48) through three games after recording just one such play across 17 games last season. He’s second among tight ends in receiving yards and now faces a Raiders defense that gives up the third-most fantasy points to the position — an attractive matchup to keep his hot start rolling.
Defense
Tampa Bay Buccaneers — $3,200
Another week, another bargain defensive target. That strategy worked in Weeks 1 and 2 before Minnesota’s Kirk Cousins put up points on the Saints last week. The Bucs are a solid play in Week 4 against a Packers offense that features the NFL’s lowest rushing output at 48.7 yards per game (including just 17 against Atlanta). If Tampa Bay can bottle up the run, Jordan Love will be forced to throw more, which should create chances for sacks and takeaways from this often-underappreciated unit.
Fan Take:
These DFS recommendations highlight matchups that could swing both fantasy outcomes and real-game strategies — when defenses are weak in obvious ways, coordinators and offensive playcallers will exploit them, changing usage patterns for key players. For NFL fans, that means watching for breakout performances and evolving game plans that can shift team identities and playoff trajectories over the season.
