        • Better Signature than MBEUMO: Spurs enters talk to sign “unbelievable” CF

The upcoming season feels like the beginning of a new era for Tottenham Hotspur.

North Londoners have finally finished their trophy drought this year under Anjipost Ecoglu. And now, Thomas Frank is at the helm and they can continue to build their teams for the future.

However, Daniel Levy and Co need to get their summer transfer windows right to ensure Danish coaches are successful in North London.

So, in addition to keeping the best players, the people in North London will need to sign people who can help improve their Premier League form next season, and it appears they have identified who can do so, who have been compared to Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.

Tottenham Transfer News

Given the Spurs’ outspoken and scary performances this season in the league and the FA Cup, it’s not surprising to see teams linking to potentially game-changing players’ hosts over the last few weeks.

One name that appears to be mentioned alongside the North Londoners is Ebebeki Eze, and the Brentford duo of Joan Wissa and Brian Mbemo is also a surprising target given their shape and connection with Frank.

But the price of a purchase from the Premier League, as to how much the three are sought this summer, looks like Lily White is looking even further away for signing in the Bundesliga.

According to a recent report from journalist Ben Jacobs, in the final words of the Spurs podcast, Tottenham is actually interested in RB Leipzig’s star Zabi Simmons.

Jacobs argues that the club “like a player” and that any potential moves to the Premier League “should see” this summer.

Although no potential transfer fees have been mentioned, it has been reported fairly widely that if the Dutch were to move this summer earlier this month, he would cost around £67 million.

Overcoming the line is expensive and perhaps a complicated transfer, but given Simons’ immeasurable abilities and the fact that he has won a comparison with Madison and Crucevsky, it’s worth fighting for.

How Simons compares to Kuru & Madison

It’s not too dramatic to claim that the pair are some of the Spurs’ outstanding players this season, as Kulusevski scored 21 goals in 50 games and Maddison has accumulated 23 tallies at 45.

So, it is undoubtedly impressive and encouraging that Simons was compared to both, but where did the comparison come from?

Well, they both come from FBREF. FBREF has focused on players in similar positions in the top five European leagues, the Champions League and the Europa League, and has since created a list of 10 most comparable to each, according to this list, while the British were the second-like midfielders in the last 365 days, while the Swedes are the most similar.

Now, the best way to understand how these conclusions have arrived is to look at some of the underlying numbers that players rank closely. In addition to the expected non-penalty goals for the previous Leicester City Star, assists, accuracy, shot-making actions and more are around 90.

But naturally, there are other reasons why Spurs should try to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain gem this summer, such as his raw output.

For example, he was limited to just 33 appearances, but in a total of 2,763 minutes this season, the 22-year-old, who was declared “one of the best teens in the world,” was able to score 11 goals and provide eight assists.

That is, the Amsterdam-born Dynamo was able to average goal involvement every 1.73 games or every 145.42 this season.

Ultimately, he’s not cheap, but Spurs has to do what he can to sign Simons. He quickly added dynamism to his first team, and given his age he could remain a key figure for the next decade or so.
