Minnesota All-Star SG Anthony Edwards is not afraid to speak his mind. It can be a defect. After Tuesday’s Game 1 defeat, Edwards used the profanity in an interview with the media. He was fined $50,000 by the NBA. He will raise his total to $430,000, counting it for the 2024-25 season. Anthony Edwards is a five-year, $244.6 million contract extension with Timberwolves. It’s not how much he has to pay. It’s an excessive number of cases that Edwards needs to try.

His fines for the 2024-25 season are as follows:

  • $35,000 for the 11/15 obscene gesture
  • $25,000 for profanity language during the 12/6 media session
  • $75,000 to criticize staff and use inappropriate language on 12/21
  • $100k for using the profan language on live TV on 12/27
  • $50,000 for indecent gestures against staff on 1/11
  • Throwing the ball into the stand on 2/27 for $35,000
  • $50,000 for indecent gestures to fans on 4/19

Five of his seven fines in the 2024-25 season were due to indecent gestures against official or profan language during the interview. It’s his gaming realm and Edwards has to fix it. He is an incredible talent for the court and the Minnesota franchise player. However, fines are beginning to be overloaded, and the three All-Stars will need to make changes.
