Domestic doubles are a powerful marker of success at Parkhead. However, the Celts will feel they will let the prospect of a clean sweep in Scotland during the unjust final defeat of the Scottish Cup last weekend to Aberdeen.

Down on the penalty, another award proved to be far from Brendan Rogers’ men.

Celtic defender Liam Scale has shown his faith in his manager to get it right in the market, supporting his fellow countrymen ahead of another long campaign.

He said:

“I think it’s obviously going to be focused on the Champions League is especially close. We need to qualify for that. If so, we want to get into it too.”

Ross Doohan completes Celtic returns after signing before contract

According to reports and magazines, Aberdeen goalkeeper Ross Duhan will return to Glasgow three years away from his boyhood club.

The former Scotland Under-21 International, labeled “Brilliant” by Graeme Shinnie, has earned 18 clean sheets in all competitions this season.

Celtic is tilted to plummet for the star that will become a big upgrade for Adam Ida.

Scott Bain is expected to enter the final year of his contract at Parkhead and make way for the summer, making the way for Duhan to come as the third choice behind Kasper Schmeichel and Virjami Sinisalo.

Additionally, the 27-year-old will support Celtic in his quest to meet UEFA’s team registration rules, given that he is a homemade and club-trained property.

Celtic will sign more eye-catching signatures this summer, but being able to call familiar presences to integrate Lennoxtown’s goalkeeping group could be a savvy move.

Duhan spent seven years at Celtic in his first spell at the club. Now he has the opportunity to become a successful dressing room member at the height of his career.
