The Dallas Wings recently shared an update about Paige Bueckers, who has returned to practice following a concussion sustained in a collision with Courtney Vanderroot a week earlier. Bueckers, the top pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, missed two games but is now back on the practice floor, giving hope to fans eager for her full return.

Bueckers has had a strong start to her WNBA career, averaging 14.7 points in May and ranking fourth in the league with 6.7 assists per game. She also contributes 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. The Wings, who revamped their roster after a disappointing 9-31 season last year, are rebuilding under new coach Chris Cochran and currently hold a 1-7 record, placing them last in the league.

During Thursday’s practice, reporter Joey Mistretta observed Bueckers on the court, though it remains unclear if she fully participated. He shared on X that she was present but didn’t confirm her involvement in drills, also posting a photo of her on an exercise bike. Meanwhile, reporter Melissa Tribwasser noted that Bueckers did not take part in the main reps. The Wings have an upcoming game on Friday at 9:30 PM ET.

This news is significant for WNBA fans as Paige Bueckers is a rising star whose health and performance could significantly uplift the Wings’ season. Her return not only impacts the team’s competitiveness but also adds excitement and attention to the growing profile of women’s professional basketball.
