Alcaraz-Raducanu Top Early Entries for Us Open Mixed Double

New York – Imagine Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu compete together for the Grand Slam trophy. How about the Madison Keys and Francistier Faye as a duo? Iga Sweet with Casperude? Or in Osaka with Nick Kyrgios?

These are one of the high-watt pairs on the reserve entry list that was reconsidered August 19-20 for Tuesday’s Open Mixed Double Stonament, before the singles competition began on August 24th.

10 of the Top 11 Women in the WTA Singles Rankings – CocoGoff, who just won the French Open in his second Grand Slam title, is the only one to go missing, with 10 of the Top 11 people on the ATP Tour, No. Register to win a $1 million prize to win a top prize of $100, including Jannik Sinner of 1 and 24-time major champion Novak Jjokovic.

“Look at the field we have,” said Stacey Alaster, who is in his final year as the US open tournament director. “It’s going to be great for fans.”

Others on Tuesday’s list: Sinner and Emma Navaro, Djokovic and Olga Danilovich, Zheng Qinwen and Jack Draper, Jasmine Paolini and Lorenzo Musetti, Jessica Pegura and Tommy Paul, Mira Andreva and Danil Medvevev, Elena Raina Sasarakena and Taylor Fletz, Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas from Arena Sasarake, Belinda Benchic and Alexander Zverev, Taylor Townsend and Ben Shelton, and 2024 US Open Mixed Doubles Champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori.

This is a star-studded group that is far from the mix of doubles specialists that are usually found in mixed double brackets in Grand Slams. While some criticized the changes when it was announced in February, Errani and Vavassori call the new format “a pseudo-exhibition focused solely on entertainment and shows.”

8 US Open Singles Champions and 5 Runner-ups This time, there are 10 major singles champions who hope that all of the previous winners of the Flushing Meadows will play for Djokovic, Osaka, Alkaraz, Radukanu, Sinner, Sabalenka and Medvedev.

Pegula and Fritz were runner-ups in singles in New York last year, while Ruud, Zverev and the 2025 Australian Open Champion Keys were also US Open finalists.

“There’s nothing I’ve been excited or energized about this incident or what it represents for the upcoming sport. There’s a different opportunity to innovate and present the sport,” said Lou Shah, who recently announced he’s leaving as chief executive of the American Tennis Association to become president of business operations with the New York Mets. “This is the only sport of importance that is competing against each other at the same time as men and women in the same field of play.”

Mixed doubles events have been reduced from 32 pairs to 16, with a shortened form. This is a set of four games from the start up to the final. No-Ad score; Match a tiebreaker instead of the third set.

Players will have time to sign up before the July 28 cutoff, and there is no guarantee that the 16 teams announced Tuesday will actually be tied in New York. The top eight teams based on the total single ranking will automatically enter the field. The other eight pairings will receive wild cards as determined by the USTA Committee.

“When I realized what the event was, (the player) went and ran,” said Eric Brutlak, USTA Senior Director of Player Relations and Business Development. “They found their partners. Whether it’s friendship or a fellow countryman, whether they team up with a partner that’s off the court.”
