Tennis legend Andre Agassi makes his propickleball debut in doubles match against Anna Lee Waters

Tennis legend Andre Agassi is ready for his next challenge. Agassi, the winner of eight tennis Grand Slams, is currently talented at the Pro Pickle Ball.

Agassi will make his propickleball debut at the US Open Pickleball Championship held in Naples, Florida on April 30th. He is working with the sport’s biggest star, 18-year-old Annally Waters, as part of a doubles match.

Agassi is no stranger to pickle balls. In 2023 he took part in the pickleball slam. The event, which also features Michael Chan, John McEnroe and Andy Roddick, was the first time Pickleball had aired on ESPN.

Since then, Agassi has clearly developed an affinity for sports. In March he released his own propickle ball paddle with Joola.

Waters is considered the best pickleball player in the world. She is currently ranked as the world’s top singles, doubles and mixed players. Waters has been a mainstay in the sport since 2019 when she was only 12 years old. Her offensive playstyle is believed to have changed the way professional play plays pickleball, and is why Waters wanted to team up with Agassi for the event. Agassi was considered an offensive tennis player in his prime.

The US Open Pickle Ball Championship will begin on Saturday and air on the CBS Sports Network. Agassi and Waters are expected to take court at noon.
