Last summer’s arrival of Hansiflik caught many in Catalonia off guard, but under the former Bayern Munich coach, Barcelona has seen a remarkable resurgence.

They have reclaimed their La Liga title and celebrated several trophies, as they gear up to defend their championship next season.

While the atmosphere in Catalonia is electric, this week Barcelona faced a significant setback.

The 22-year-old player unexpectedly reversed his decision on Friday after initially agreeing to terms with Spanish international Nico Williams regarding a major move to Camp Nou.

Flick’s team reportedly expressed outrage when Athletic Bilbao confirmed that Williams had signed a surprising ten-year deal to stay in the Basque Country.

Although Rafinha and young prodigy Raminyamal led Barcelona to a domestic sweep last season, the club is still keen on bolstering their attacking options this summer.

In light of Williams’ unexpected refusal, reports suggest Barcelona is now eyeing two stars from the Premier League to attract their attention.

Louis Diaz – Liverpool

While Mohamed Salah garnered much of the attention at Anfield last season, it’s clear that Luis Diaz has been a vital contributor since joining from Porto in January 2022.

Despite his success, with just two years left on his current contract and ongoing discussions about an extension, rumors indicate that Diaz might be considering a departure from Liverpool this summer.

Earlier this week, along with interest from Saudi Arabia, Bayern Munich reportedly had an approach turned down by the newly crowned Premier League champions.

Even if Liverpool has stated they are not looking to sell Diaz, Barcelona has marked the 28-year-old as a key target.

Despite an unsuccessful initial bid for him last month, Flick is a major admirer and eager to pursue what could be a significant signing.

Barcelona is planning another attempt to secure Luis Diaz after Nico signs.

Liverpool has already rebuffed offers from both Barca and Bayern in recent weeks. It’s proving to be a tough negotiation.

Marcus Rashford remains keen on a move to Barcelona.

Marcus Rashford – Manchester United

Marcus Rashford’s time at Manchester United has recently turned sour, especially after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old is reportedly not part of Reuben Amorim’s future plans and the club is looking to facilitate his exit from Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, Rashford appeared to enjoy his stint with Villa, contributing four goals or assists in just ten Premier League appearances.

As he stands at a crossroads in his career and with Villa opting not to sign him permanently, the United academy graduate has expressed a strong desire to switch to Spain this summer.

Following up from the January transfer window, Rashford is focusing on joining Barcelona and is reportedly willing to accept significant wage reductions to make the move happen.

Manchester United has placed a £40 million price tag on the England international.

The decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford’s exit from Manchester United.

Barcelona remains Rashford’s preferred choice this summer, though no progress has yet been made and other options are under consideration.
