Portrush, Northern Ireland – Aldrich Poggilator and Brian Campbell have won PGA Tour events in the past two weeks and are now open at the Royal Portrush next week.
The open has 156 fields, and two weeks ago it was revealed that there were only 150 players who qualified or met various exemption criteria.
Open will use this week’s world rankings for its alternative list. Potgieter was 123rd in the world when he won the Rocket Classic two weeks ago, while Campbell was 115th in the John Deere Classic on Sunday.
Both have moved high enough in the world rankings and become one of six major players who have not yet been exempt from the open. Others added to the field include Nico Echavalia, Michael Kim, Bud Koury and Davis Thompson narrowly winning Siu Kim’s final position.
It will open from July 17th to 20th.
