Mexico secured their 10th Gold Cup with a 2-1 win against the US men’s national team.
The US took an early lead just five minutes into the match with a header from Chris Richards. However, Mexico quickly equalized with a goal from Raul Jimenez before the halftime break. Edson Alvarez then scored the decisive goal with a header, which was initially ruled offside but overturned by VAR.
This marks a significant moment for Mexico following their Gold Cup triumph over the US.
