Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay for Swedish goal machine Viktor Gyoker.

The Red Devils were able to do it with the new striker after Rasmus Hozilund’s poor form in two years at Old Trafford.

Ollie Watkins is another name linked to Man Utd, according to The Daily Mirror, but imagines Ruben Amorim will definitely enjoy the opportunity to work with former player Gyoker again.

Still, the problem with that is that the trustworthy Fabrizio Romano has made it clear that Gyoker only wants an arsenal.

Another issue may be that the sports president may not be ready to answer a call to United as manager Amorim was lost to the Premier League Giants last year.

That’s a statement made by journalist Pedro Sousa towards Leonino. Because MUFC insists they will be willing to pay what they need to beat Arsenal “tomorrow” if they can.

“There are clubs who want to pay 10 million euros for 70 million euros. Manchester United will pay 70 million euros and 10 million euros tomorrow, but I don’t know if he (Frederico Baranda) is still answering the call to Reuben Amorim,” Sousa said.

Arsenal remains a favorite for Gyoker to transfer

After struggling with such a disastrous season in 2024/25, I imagine it might be difficult to invite top players to United right now.

This was one of the worst seasons in living memory for the Red Devils. The Red Devils finished 15th at the table and lost the Europa League final to the poor Tottenham side.

Gyoker will certainly do much better to move to Arsenal attacking one or two top class attacking the signature away from being a title favorite.

The 27-year-old won Champions League football at Emirates Stadium and got a chance to play under the highly-rated Mikel Arteta.

Amorim may be his former manager, but there is no guarantee that the Portuguese tactician will last very long after a poor start to his Old Trafford reign.
