Arsenal director Andrea Berta has been praised by Charles Watts for his “excellent work” that Viktor Gyoker transferred this summer.
Speaking exclusively Catch off side For his weekly column, Watts chose Berta for attacking difficult deals for key sports Lisbon players.
Berta is in his first summer at Arsenal, but appears to be doing a great job being hit by some important early businesses, for the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arizabaraga.
Additionally, Gyoker deals are nearby, but new deals have been signed by Gabriel Magalhaes and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Andrea Berta praised Viktor Gyokeres’ transfer deal
“We are still waiting for a full agreement while playing sports through Arsenal and Victor’s Gyoker,” Watts said.
“The principled trading has been in place since the weekend after the breakthrough of Sunday consultations. The trading framework is in place, but the ultimate sticking point is how the add-ons are accurately fulfilled.
“Arsenal is confident that the deal will be agreed, but I don’t want to put it in the time frame where it will take place.
“It can happen anytime and Arsenal is clearly eager to run through the door as quickly as possible to help him adjust.”
He added: “We’ll have to wait whether or not the last few details of the Gyoker deal can be ironed by then, but Arsenal certainly wants it, as you think the players would.
Arsenal’s sport negotiations were not easy
“If Arsenal handed this over to the line, I think Berta would get a lot of credibility in the way they handled the negotiations.
“It wasn’t easy because sports are obviously trying to play hardball, which is absolutely their right, given how important players are to them over the past two years.
“But Berta remains a patient and the deal he hits is good. You can’t really argue with an initial fee of around £55 million for the striker with Gyoker’s recent record.
“Yes, there is a question mark in the Portuguese League: whether he can replicate the annoying thing near his level scoring exploit in the Premier League.
“In the end, this deal will be judged as to what Gyoker is doing for Arsenal, but now Berta continues to pass through his first transfer window with the club, so it looks like a great job for Berta.”
Arsenal lacked goals last season and current players were unable to double league goals throughout the campaign, so they added people who added people who seemed essential to Gyoker.
