Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, both London clubs are monitoring his situation and the players are open to leaving Germany this summer. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea and Arsenal move forward with offers to sign him.

They have already been in touch with each other regarding the player’s moves and have been able to try and revive the move in the coming weeks.

Arsenal and Chelsea are in touch

He said on YouTube: “At the start of the transfer period, Chelsea and Arsenal were called to be informed of the players’ situation. Arsenal then decided to invest in several other players. Chelsea was busy with something else.

The 22-year-old Dutch International scored 11 goals last season and earned eight assists. He can slot into multiple offensive roles, and Simmons could become an asset for Chelsea or Arsenal.

Both clubs need more quality and depth in the final third. Mykhailo Mudryk has carried out a long ban on doping and Noni Madikke has been sold. Chelsea need more cutting edge in the future, and the 22-year-old will add goals and creativity to his side.

Similarly, Arsenal needs more depth in the final third. Gabriel Martinelli was overwhelmed last season, allowing Simons to compete with him where he started. He can operate in the center and will also be a quality backup option for Martin Odegaard.

Dutch International is a tactically versatile player and he could become an asset to both teams. He was young enough to improve even further, and he was able to develop into a future star with proper guidance.

The opportunity to join some of the world’s biggest clubs would be difficult for him. Arsenal or Chelsea can help him meet his potential in the near future.
