Gear Up to Dominate the Offseason with the “Marvin Harrison Jr.” Card!

Glendale, Arizona – Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. confirmed that he now weighs 220 pounds after practice during the team’s first training camp session on Wednesday, matching the weight listed on the Cardinals’ official roster. This marks an increase from the 209 pounds he was recorded at during his rookie year last season.

Harrison shared that changes in his workout routine and diet this offseason have contributed to his added bulk, generating buzz on social media following the release of his uniform photos. He specifically mentioned increasing his food intake, particularly by having a “big breakfast,” which is a new habit for him.

“I’m getting used to it during these first few weeks,” Harrison said. “I’m not traditionally a big breakfast eater, but now I’m making sure to eat it regularly. The toughest part is waking up hungry and forcing yourself to eat even when you don’t feel hungry.”

Although Harrison doesn’t want to gain excessive weight, he believes 220 pounds is a beneficial target that he can maintain naturally. He plans to stay around that weight throughout the season without much fluctuation.

“I feel good. I feel the same, but a bit faster and stronger,” Harrison said. “I’m ready to prove that.”

Tight end Trey McBride joked about attempting to lift the weight Harrison has gained, admitting he couldn’t match it. McBride praised Harrison’s work ethic, acknowledging his constant off-season training and growth.

“He’s hardworking, no doubt about it,” McBride said with a smile. “He’s young and still developing his physique. He’s a stud.”

Entering his second NFL training camp, Harrison feels more relaxed compared to the nerves he experienced last year. McBride also noticed this calming change.

Harrison’s goal for this season is straightforward: to improve on his rookie year. Head coach Jonathan Gannon echoed this mindset, emphasizing continuous improvement.

“Everyone – players, coaches, staff – strives to get better every day,” Gannon said. “Marvin understands that and is committed to it.”

Fan Take: Marvin Harrison Jr.’s commitment to building his body and skills this offseason signals the emergence of a serious rising star for the Cardinals. NFL fans should watch closely, as his development could significantly impact the team’s success and add excitement to the league’s young receiving talent.
