Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac reportedly declined his offer for a new contract at St. James Park as Liverpool is ready to make his offer.

Swedish International is rocking Newcastle, failing to travel with the rest of the team for a pre-season trip to Singapore.

According to the Times, there is now much more to this story. It appears that Isaac has already turned down a major wage rise from Newcastle. Meanwhile, Liverpool is preparing a £130 million package to complete the transfer.

This claims that, following Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool is still interested in Isaac, despite Liverpool just signing another striker in the form of Hugo Echicicke…

It’s clear that Isak won’t be cheap, but given his reveal that he wants to leave, it would be interesting to see if it’s enough to convince Newcastle to let go of the 25-year-old.

LFC fans will naturally be excited by ISAK’s potential signature.

Liverpool probably won’t be able to play two ahead of the two anytime soon, so while Ekitique isn’t his best position, it could mean a big change in what he can do.

Romano points out that Luis Diaz’s future could be linked to Isaac’s contract, so Ekitique will likely replace Columbia International as a broader range.

Bad news for Newcastle as Isaac wants to leave

This is clearly scary news for Newcastle, who hoped to ensure that he would keep this team together after winning the Carabao Cup and competed in the Champions League.

Magpies will find it very difficult to replace someone as important as Isaac, even if they earn a large fee for him.

Overall, this should be a major blow to Eddie Howe to keep this Newcastle team moving forward.
