The start of Celtic’s competitive season is right around the corner.

For a week on Sunday, Hoops will begin Scotland’s premier title defense.

They then travel to Pittrey for their final Scottish Cup rematch with Aberdeen, but there’s plenty to be excited about during August for the supporters. Ibrox’s old company Derby and Champions League playoff tie will arrive later this month.

Therefore, with the new season approaching rapidly, Brendan Rodgers is doubly eager to acquire his new recruit on the line.

Hoop has been in the market for new strikers since Kyoto uruhashi was sold to Stad Rennai in January for a reporting fee of £10 million.

Rodgers said he hopes to “add a lot of goals” in recent months to “add to our frontline” given Nicholas Cune’s departure for COMO at around £16.5 million, following a friendly victory over Stadrennai before the season mid- and half last year.

As for pure centre forward, Yamada Shinda arrived from Kawasaki Frontle on around £1.5 million, so Adam Ida will be challenging the ninth place starting number, but Rogers still wants more.

Mathias Kvistgaarden appeared to be their top goal since January, but instead he decided to join Norwich City from Brøndby for a reporting fee of £6.9 million.

Well, Rogers has previously had in regards to signing an unknown striker, namely Musadembele nine years ago as Celtic Manager.

Can Celts sign a highly rated young striker?

Just as Celtic runs wide for new strikers, Sky Sports expert Dongoodman insists they should go all out and sign Richard Cohn of Wycombe Wanderers.

He would score a lot of goals if he made the move to Glasgow, Korn would “have great success at that level and given that the Celts would ‘dominate the game and create opportunities’.

In January, Luton Town refused a £6 million bid from the chairman of Corn, according to football insider Pete O’Rourke.

To support this, a week ago, it was recorded that the Celts were interested in corn, and the young shooter believed it was worth around £7 million.

CBS morning poor, Wycomb legend Adebayo Akinfenwa said, “If Hollywood had a script for the story, this would be that.”

He then represented Athletic Newham in the Essex Senior League, England’s ninth tier, for five years, before being scouted and signed by Wycom in January 2024.

Well, what proved this was to cite both the divisional players and the younger players who scored 25 goals in 73 appearances in the 22-year-old Buckinghamshire-based EFL League One outfit, earning 18 nets in the league.

Let’s evaluate his statistics from last year’s League One and highlight why he scooped up both praises.

As the table points out, two players, Charlie Kelman and Jaystansfield, both played for promoted clubs, scored more goals than Kone, ranking them on all offensive metrics, including offensive metrics.

His performance certainly impressed author Kai Watson, who labeled him a “mentality monster.”

So why can he repeat Dembele’s arrival from 2016?

Well, before joining Celtic, the Frenchman had only 64 senior appearances in Fulham. Most of it came at championship level, so we couldn’t predict that he exploded into the scene like he did, scoring 32 goals in his first season with Celtic.

So there is certainly a precedent for a young, inexperienced striker joining Celtic from the EFL and exploding into top-class center forwards.

If you’re not satisfied with Deja vu yet, listen to this. Kone’s non-league athletic Newham is based on Atletico Madrid, wearing the same kit, the badges are the same, and who did Dembele win the La Liga with? You guessed it!
