Lottie Woad announced on Dundonald Links that he has arrived on the LPGA tour in an incredible way this weekend. Shot the final round of 68 after 21 under at the Women’s Scotland Open in 2025, Lord claimed a decisive victory in his professional debut.

Woad led the wire from the tournament’s wire and took his first round lead with 67 on Thursday before jumping solo at 65 on Friday. She faced Sunday pressure from Hyo Joo Kim, who joined her in a tie above the leaderboard after making six birdies on the first 11 holes, but Woad was able to produce birdies on Nos 13 and 14 to push back forward.

Kim reached 20 under, one back after his own birdie at No. 14, but a pair of bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes pushed back two of Woad’s leads. With the advantage of the 18th two-shot, Woad stylishly rounded out her first professional victory by throwing a dart on the pin and setting up a closing birdie, giving Kim a three-stroke victory.

Woad missed the playoffs at the Evian Championship on one shot in his final amateur start and followed shortly after winning in his first professional start in Scotland. The former Florida star and world number one amateur was expected to be competitive early in his LPGA career, but surpassed those expectations by breaking Scotland’s strong field.

Woad is the first player to win her LPGA Tour debut since Rose Zhang in 2023, and collects a $300,000 winner’s check for her efforts.
