Arsenal is reportedly one of the clubs keeping an eye on the situation in Real Madrid, attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz.

The 25-year-old, who previously played for Manchester City and England, faces an uncertain future with the Bernabeu.

Diaz’s current contract is expected to expire in 2027, but according to Football Espana, it appears he hasn’t put his pen on paper for the new deal yet, despite a recent agreement.

The report adds that this is Arsenal and AC Milan are focusing on development, but this still looks like something, at a very early stage, with negotiations and offers not seemingly imminent.

Diaz has not established himself with Real Madrid, so it may be worth moving forward to try new challenges elsewhere.

Moroccan International has all the chances to revive his career with more playing time, as he did well during his loan spell at AC Milan.

Arsenal might be seduced by Diaz’s profile. He previously enjoyed many successes, winning the Premier League title in the Champions League against City and Madrid.

Arsenal’s previous summer

Arsenal will have a busy summer with Martin Zubimendi, Victor Gyokesch, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgado, Christian Mosquera and Kepa Arizabaraga.

Still, there may be room for additional midfield during attacks like Diaz. Diaz could possibly offer a slightly out-of-form alternative to Martin Odegard.

However, AFC may need to sell some players. So I imagine it will become a major part of their agenda over the next few weeks.

Thomas Parti, Gorguinho, Kieran Tierney and Tumeiro Tomiyas left at the end of the contract, but Nuno Tavarez and Marquinhos were sold.

There’s room for Arsenal to make a little more money offloading names like others, perhaps Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior, and Reiss Nelson.
