Sunderland has now agreed to a deal to sign Chelsea attacker Mark Giu.

According to reports from Sky Sportsthe 19-year-old will join Sunderland on loan during the season. He has been given permission to complete medicine at the newly promoted English club.

The former Barcelona genius was also a target for Leeds United, but Sunderland has now defeated them by his signature. They need to add more quality and depth to their attacking units, and the 19-year-old could prove to be a great acquisition. It will be interesting to see if he can secure a place in Sunderland’s starting lineup next season.

Sunderland works well in the Premier League and aims to survive on top flights. They need to further strengthen their teams, and younger attackers become useful additions. The 19-year-old is hungry to prove himself at the highest level and aims to return to Chelsea next summer. Regular opportunities in Sunderland bring out the best of him. He needs to work hard in training and convince the coaching staff to give him a chance next season.

Meanwhile, Leeds needs to improve their attacking units as well. It will be interesting to see if they will move on to other targets as they will need to strengthen their teams to survive in the Premier League next season. They are active in the market, but ideally, the depth of the attack would be increased. The 19-year-old would have struggled with regular game times at Chelsea. A trip to Sunderland might be ideal for him. It will be interesting to see if he can make the most of the opportunity and continue his development.
