According to Marca, Luka Jovic is set to join AEK Athens as a free agent after his contract with AC Milan has expired.
Jovic and AEK have come to terms on a two-year deal. The Serbian international is expected to undergo a medical examination today (Monday) in Athens before finalizing the contract. Initially, there were rumors about him potentially signing with Real Oviedo to reunite with coach Veljko Paunovic, but those plans have changed.
Jovic previously enjoyed a successful tenure at Eintracht Frankfurt, which boosted his market value and led to a transfer worth over 60 million euros in 2019. However, his time at Real Madrid was less fruitful, resulting in a loan back to Eintracht just 18 months later. After his contract with Real expired in 2022, he signed with Fiorentina as a free agent, and then transferred to AC Milan the following year for just 500,000 euros. At Milan, the 27-year-old striker struggled, scoring only 13 goals and providing two assists across more than 47 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri.
Jovic has found the net 11 times for Serbia in 45 appearances.

His performance in the Greek league could affect both his future and the competitive landscape in European football, making it a storyline worth following.
