  • Newcastle United is interested in Nicholas Jackson
  • It’s clear that Jackson has no future at Stamford Bridge

The future of Chelsea striker Nicholas Jackson at Stamford Bridge is growing speculation surrounding potential moves from the club this summer.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Jackson is a player of interest at Newcastle United and has been closely monitoring the situation amid uncertainty over the striker’s options following Benjamin Sesco’s decision to join Manchester United.

Eddie Howe and his team’s transfer plans were a huge hit after Sesco’s decision to join Man United this summer.

The Magpie was actively chasing the Bundesliga striker, but it appears that they have to accept defeat in the race to sign Slovenia.

Howe and his recruiting team are currently focusing on other targets, with Chelsea’s Jackson being one of the radar players, along with Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins and Brentford attacker Joane Wissa.

Speaking about the situation, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has provided an update on the 24-year-old Senegal International, suggesting that the door may be open due to the possibility of an exit.

As Jacobs reported, he said:

“Nico is fine. Anything can happen when the window is open. This includes Nico’s situation. At this point, two new strikers have arrived.

Maresca’s comments mention the arrival of Joao Pedro and Liam Dellup.

This addition places Jackson in the attack division that could be crowded. In particular, there is Chelsea’s preference for a more versatile, structured forward line under Maresca.

The departure cannot be ruled out as Bruce changes his offensive approach and potentially threatens Jackson’s playing time.

Newcastle United maintains a close tab on development. With Alexander Isaac linked to Liverpool and Liverpool, Maresca’s comments are pleasant surprises for them given his interest in Jackson.
