Sunderland’s move could have been exciting for Dmytro Riznyk
The chance to move into the Premier League may have been exciting for the Shakhtardnetsk goalkeeper, but Sunderland has not made an official approach for him.
Anthony Patterson is currently on the sidelines due to injuries and it is unclear when he will return. Sunderland will need to sign a quality goalkeeper before the new season begins. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Sunderland was very impressive in the championship last season, but stepping up to the Premier League is important. If you want to survive on top flights, you need to properly improve your squad.
There is no doubt that Patterson is a quality goalkeeper, but he needs a replacement for his absence. If he can’t immediately return from his injury, they must look at the signature of a trustworthy keeper as priority.
