Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Como defender Jacobo Ramon.

The 21-year-old Spaniard has performed very well for the Italian club this season, contributing to a clean sheet in the league. According to TEAMtalk, he is their regular starter and his performances have caught the attention of Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old is a product of Real Madrid’s academy and the club have a buy-back clause in his contract if they wish to bring him back. This makes it clearly advantageous to sign him in any race. It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are willing to bring him back to the club.

Chelsea and Liverpool need defensive depth and it’s no wonder they are keen on the 21-year-old. He could be a quality long-term acquisition for them. He proved his quality in Italy and has the same physical and technical attributes in English football. Both Premier League clubs need to tighten up at the back if they want to win major trophies. They looked very vulnerable defensively this season.

Ramon must be excited about the possibility of joining a big club. A move to the Premier League or La Liga would be very exciting for him and it remains to be seen where he will go. The 21-year-old should join a club where he can play a prominent role. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. Sitting on the bench at a big club will have a negative impact on his development. He must seek guaranteed game time before joining Real Madrid, Chelsea or Liverpool.
