Arne Slot spoke to the media before the Community Shield, which raises Liverpool curtains, collided with Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon. He confirmed that he could not rule out any more Summer signatures.

The Anfield side won the Premier League with Canter last season, but who can claim it was in glory? Liverpool is meant to defend their throne and expand the scope of the slot era, and we certainly see prizes.

Alexander Isaac’s name has been stealing headlines for a while. However, there is little doubt that it is not the only area that requires investment before the transfer period ends.

That is, Liverpool needs a central defender and pushed them to sign Bournemouth Prodigy Dean Huissen in May, after the 20-year-old release clause was activated and before joining 20-year-old Real Madrid they pushed them to sign Bournemouth Prodigy Dean Huissen.

Why Liverpool wants centre-back

Last month, Jarell Quansah was sold to Bayer Leverkusen in a transaction worth £35 million. His English talent is highly regarded, but he didn’t do well under the wings of the slot last season.

That being said, Joe Gomez has been suffering minor injuries from Achilles ever since. The blow will not be bystanding the 28-year-old for a long time, but highlight the vulnerability of Virgil Van Dyke’s line of defence.

Van Dick extended his Liverpool contract two years before the end of last season, but the captain is now 34 years old and the inevitability of athletic decline begins to sit in the minds of slot and sports director Richard Hughes.

Then there’s Ibrahima Conate. The French defender is in the final year of his £70,000 weekly contract at Anfield, and as Real Madrid lurks, he is terrified of following in the footsteps of Trent Alexander Arnold and joining Bossman’s European net.

Either way, Liverpool will need to sign centre-back this month.

Liverpool line up new defenders

According to football insiders, Liverpool has learned that it should be enough to convince Crystal Palace to sell Mark Guehi this summer.

Liverpool believes Guehi will be a great addition to the backline that looks rather thin, but since the 25-year-old entered the final year of his contract, Hughes is reluctant to pay for that possibility.

But Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested, so the Reds may want to bite a bullet and make their first formal offer.

Why Liverpool wants Mark Guech

Guehi has been a pillar of Crystal Palace’s strength and solidity for the past four years, and after graduating from the renowned academy, he joined the club at a £18 million price from Chelsea, but did not step through the doors of his first team.

As Eagles reporter Bobby Manzi points out, he is a “defense monster,” but Guehi is also a heavily underrated technician in an overtaking game to make a real difference to Liverpool over the next few years.

According to FBREF, he was ranked in the top 9% of the top five league centers of goal contributions, top 12% of shot-making action, top 2% of balls and top 20% of take-ons per 90.

The action of creating a shot is a game that leads to a shot. These include moments like passing, take-on, fouls and more.

His integrity even suggests he will be the perfect partner for Van Dyke in the coming years, bringing energy and mobility to the backline, and other advanced approaches.

As you can see from the table, Guehi is barely out of sight when the data is ranked alongside Van Dijk and Konate’s efforts last season.

Strangely enough, the Three Lions star has made fewer mistakes than both of his world-class position peers.

It’s no surprise that journalist and scout Ben Matinson praised Garhi as “the best player in England” after the Euro 2024 campaign.

Van Dijk is more accurate in duels (as is Konate), but Guehi has a multifaceted defensive skill set that is very important for modern top challenge teams.

Did he captain Oliver Glasner’s side towards last season’s FA Cup title and beat Manchester City in the final at Wembley?

By adding this profile to the mix, Slot is the perfect partner for Van Dijk to keep his craft moving very high, leading the team, organizing challenges when situations are requested, organizing maneuvering, timing, timing, and timing steely headers.

In an ideal world, Conate renews his contract and Liverpool attacks his next campaign with three best centre-backs in the Premier League.

The Dutch superstar at the club continues to be a crop cream, but he is no longer a spring chicken. Bringing in another athletic and dynamic profile allows Slot to prove the perfect recipe for achieving his lofty ambitions.
