Aston Villa managed to move away from the blockbuster due to injury concerns

Aston Villa has had a quiet transfer window so far, but they are looking to add to Unai Emery’s team before the summer ends. Right back is one area that can be addressed, but I have doubts about one of the targets.

There is a desire to sign an upgrade for Matty Cash, allowing Ezri Konsa to play most of his minutes in a natural position at the heart of defense. The highest quality right back in this respect, and one player who falls under this description is Denzel Dumfries.

However, there is doubt that Dumfries, which previously wanted for Man United, was produced, and this will be a concern for Aston Villa.

Aston Villa has recognized Denzel Dumfries’ injury issues

Inter Milan’s Dutch defender #02 Denzeldan Fries (L) will control the ball during a soccer match between Genoa and Inter Milan at Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa on August 17, 2024.

According to Aston Villa News, Dr. Rajpal Buller claims that Aston Villa has been injured in a hamstring, he can avoid Dumfrey’s signature.

“Villa may have a closer look at his recent hamstring damage to assess the risk of recurrence, especially if the listed muscle fatigue was also associated with the hamstring.

“If that’s the case, they may decide to sign him as another factor, such as adapting to life in the UK. It’s never ideal for players to miss multiple games in different instances of the season due to fitness troubles.”

It is still unclear whether Aston Villa will be able to sign Dumfries. He’s definitely going to be a quality addition to Emery’s team, but the injury situation should be considered.
