Emma Radukanu is on the way to the third round of the Cincinnati Open after winning Olga Danilovich in straight sets.

The UK number one marked her first match since former Rafael Nadal coach Francis Roig joined her team in a confident 6-3, 6-2 victory.

Roig may not have been overly impressed when Raducanu broke to love in the first game, but the 2021 US Open Champion responded well.

After four breaks between the pair in the opening six games, Raducanu grabbed another one from 30-0 to 5-3.

She won seven points in a row to score three set points, earning her first point on the ace.

Second, Radkanu gave nothing for free to his Serb opponent, eliciting an error and eventually got a break at 3-2.

She didn’t drop another game and ended her amazing victory in an hour and 20 minutes.

The 22-year-old was able to face world number one Arena Sabalenka in the third round after a narrow Wimbledon defeat last month.

Previously, Wimbledon champion Iga Sweet was eased over Anastasia Potapova with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

Australia’s Open Champion Madison Keys saved two match points before defeating Everlys 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1).

He played his first match since winning the Maiden Wimbledon title with Jannik Sinner on ATP Draw, dismantling Daniel Ellahi Garan 6-1, 6-1.
