Leeds United are linked to the movement of Serbian international striker Alexander Mitrovich.
The 30-year-old is scheduled to leave Al-Hilal this summer, and he is linked to his return to the Premier League. If they can get the deal done, there’s no doubt that he’ll become a Leeds exceptional acquisition.
Meanwhile, journalist Pete O’Rourke has made it clear that players are taking on massive wages in Saudi Arabia, which could be a major problem for Leeds. It remains to be seen whether players are ready to lower wage demands as the movement passes.
Will Mitrovich lower his wages?
“It won’t be cheaper with the massive wages in the (Mitrovic) Saudi Arab League, but he’s open to the Premier League,” he told Football Insider.
“The Leeds need to bring in people who can score goals (for them) in the Premier League next season.
“Mitrovich will be a great signing for Leeds, but they have to break the bank to get it done.”
Aleksandar Mitrovic is prolific
They desperately need reliable scorers, and the Serbs know the league well. He may be able to settle down quickly and make an immediate impact. He has been outstanding since his move to Saudi Arabia.
Mitrovic scored 28 goals and has earned his past seven assists. The opportunity to move into the Premier League would be difficult to refuse for him. He would want to compete at a high level again, and Leeds was able to offer him the opportunity.
Meanwhile, white people are trying to establish themselves as patrons in the Premier League, and for that to happen, they need quality players. They wouldn’t want to fight for survival next season. A quality striker can make a big difference for them. They have a talented team, but they need some intelligent additions to adapt to the top flight.
