  • Andre Onana struggles to perform at Man United
  • Reuben Amorim is ready to offload the Onana

Andre Onana’s future at Manchester United is once again in the spotlight, with former club Inter Milan considering a move to return the goalkeeper to Serie A.

The 29-year-old shotstopper endures a difficult spell at Old Trafford and may move this summer, with clubs in Europe and the Middle East being spinning, sources close to the agent industry notifying him Catch off side.

Although Onana arrived at United in 2023 with a reputation as being one of Europe’s most trusted keepers, his performance in the UK is often under scrutiny. The goalkeeper made 50 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions last season.

Supporters have become increasingly frustrated last season, noting that his save percentage is the lowest in the Premier League.

The issues got worse when he missed part of the preseason and stopped his recent clash with Arsenal due to injuries, raising new questions about his long-term role in Reuben Amorim’s plan.

Despite these struggles, Inter has not forgotten the influence of Onana in his time in Italy. The Cameroonian played a key role in Nerazzurri’s run to the Champions League Finals, and his commanding presence between the posts has been praised by both the fans and the coaching staff.

Inter’s hierarchy wants to refresh the goalkeeping division and see Onana as a serious candidate for return.

At Man United, the stance remains uncertain. Amorim is open to changing goalkeeping positions, but no official steps have been taken yet.

But the club is ready to entertain offers in the £30 million region. That number may prove too sudden for Inter, who is also exploring cheaper alternatives, but it rarely blocks Saudi clubs.

Strong interest has emerged from the bay, with Al Ittihad, Al Hilal and Al Qadsiyah all closely guarding the Onana tab.

Unlike Inter, these clubs have the financial strength to meet United’s asking price without hesitation.
