Chelseawinger Tyrique George appears to be heading for a permanent move to Rome after yesterday’s positive talk.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie a Giants met with a representative from George in London and negotiations were successful.
A key part of the deal is that Chelsea will require a crucial sell-on clause from the talented 19-year-old winger.
George had limited playing time at Stamford Bridge, but he appears to be an exciting prospect with certainty in value over the next few years.
See below as it appears that Chelsea and Rome are talking now, and things seem to be heading in a positive direction…
Romano said: “Rome spoke positively with the London camp today at Tyrique George, so George can sign a permanent contract with a permanent sale clause as Rome.
Chelsea win cash for academy talent Tirique George
Some Chelsea fans may be a bit disappointed to see this exciting homemade player leave the club permanently.
George has been writing books for Chelsea since 2014, so this will be his first experience performing elsewhere.
Even with a lot of competition on Enzo Maresca’s team, George was impressed when he was given the chance in the first team.
Rome appears to bring in great talent, but it’s no wonder the CFC claims a large selling clause.
It will also be interesting to see if the deal includes something like a buyback clause, as Chelsea continues to keep an eye on how England Youth International will appear in the coming years.
Chelsea are working on signing Alejandro Garnacho, so to be fair, it’s even more difficult for George to get many first team opportunities right away.
