Andre Onana will be joining Trabzonspor on loan from Manchester United.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper has been impressed with Old Trafford since his trip from Inter Milan. He was sacrificing valuable points in his performance in Eller, and Manchester United decided to lend him and send him out after signing Senne Ranmen.

The goalkeeper had fallen to third in the pecking order and didn’t want to sit on the bench for Manchester United. However, Graeme Bailey is now United and has made it clear with a focus that the players still believe he is the best goalkeeper at the club.

How Andre Onana feels about the exit

Bailey said: “I knew he could go in August, but he was always confident that he would be number one again. But I was told that once Runmen arrived he made it clear to him that he was third in so many orders.

“At that point, he knew he couldn’t stay at the club, and that was really when his people started working hard on options for him.

“Onana firmly believes he is being used as something like a scapegoat and he still thinks he is the best goalkeeper United have, but he has embraced the move as he is heading towards the World Cup year and the African nation’s Cup in January and wants to play.”

It will be interesting to see if he can get back on his career well with the regular opportunity at the Turkish club. He is a reliable goalkeeper in his time in Italy and he aims to return to that level. The move towards Manchester United hasn’t worked out for him. His performance is very poor in the Premier League, and Manchester United is within the right to replace him.
