The move date at the 2025 BMW PGA Championship saw Wentworth’s leaderboards change dramatically over the course of Saturday’s third round, with heavy rain falling in the afternoon. Matsuyama Hideki, Victor Hofland, Rudig 1 and Justin Rose were names that appeared on weekends, but all four of them struggled to get back from their pace.

Coming in the week, all the talks at Wentworth were about 11 members of the European Ryder Cup team, while the co-leaders of 54 holes are 15 under Adrien Sadie and Alex Noren. Saddier and Noren charge to the top thanks to rounds 65 and 66 respectively, while Noren closes his style with Eagle No. 18.

Tyrrell Hutton leads the Chase Pack. He posted the low round of the day with an 8-under 64, including a 7 birdie run in the final 10 holes, inserting himself into the 13-under mix. Hovland isn’t far behind even 12 under. He treated Wentworth’s wild weather better than the other groups in the final group as he had to watch Rose (75) and Matsuyama (76) get completely out of the fight, confused by the third round.

Åberg similarly stalled alongside 73 and got off to an incredible start to the week as the leader of the 18 holes before anchoring five times in the final round on Sunday at 10 under. He joined Patrick Reed and Harry Hall at 10 under, while Joaquin Neiman shot 65 to move to 9 under, giving him a chance with a strong finish.

The two biggest names on the field, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, cut off the non-factor this weekend, as McIlroy is under the age of 5 and Rahm is under the age of 7 in the tournament he goes to Sunday.

Still, Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald should be happy that Hatton, Hofland and Oberg are all looking for a lead.
