  • Real Madrid heads to Tottenham star Mickey Van des Ben as target for 2026
  • Tottenham sent warnings in his Real Madrid plan for head touring

Tottenham defender Mickey Van des Ben has been greatly impressed throughout Thomas Frank and his time in North London.

Real Madrid heads to Tottenham star Mickey Van des Ben as target for 2026

The Dutch signed from Wolfsberg at the start of his responsibilities for Angipost Ecoglu and formed an absolutely fantastic partnership with Christian Romero over the first two seasons.

Romero is reportedly told about Real’s target candidate list before Argentina commits his future to the N17 by writing a weekly new £195,000 contract.

Van de Ven and Romero once appeared in Postecoglou’s Highline. This was the main reason for the success and qualifying of the 2023/2024 Europa League.

Last season, Tottenham only conceded 20 goals in 18 games they started together.

As Romero is tied up and Van de Ven continues to impress this season, it is believed that Real is paying attention to the latter move as Xabi Alonso is looking to bolster his central defensive option in 2026.

Tottenham is reportedly ready to double Van de Venn’s wages to keep him away from the clutch. Chelsea also believes he is interested in the former Vandesliga star in the hunt for Enzo Maresca’s new centre-back (Greeme Bailey).

Losing Pacey is a big blow to Frank to lose a strong, commander center half, with journalist Dean Jones sending a warning to Tottenham about real interest.

Tottenham sent warnings in his Real Madrid plan for head touring

Speaking to TeamTalk, Jones reports that Real is planning to “turn people’s heads” with the signature of the statement, and despite Liverpool star Ibrahima Connate being Alonso’s main target, Van de Ben’s move cannot be ruled out.

Commenting on Real’s “funny” Van De Ven Links, he “heard” this is something to watch.

“We’ve been told that Konate is the person they think is the most likely, but obviously they’re also looking at other players,” Jones said.

“It’s interesting that they’re linking to Mickey Van de Ben right now, because I’ve heard that this might be a situation to watch all season.

“I don’t think there’s any contact or anything like that at this stage, but Madrid wants to turn people’s heads. If VanDeVen tries to raise his profile from the Spurs, they could see it as a potential location to travel around Madrid.

“I think he’s been an interesting player for quite some time, so we need to wait and see if they jump into a more aggressive pursuit.”

There are few advocates for his caliber, age, and ability.

Van de Ven’s recovery speed is undoubtedly his biggest asset. Once again, he bailed the Spurs with final groove tackles and ferocious sprints to eliminate the counterattack during the post-Koglu reign, and he was equally crucial to Frank.

Jamie O’hara of Talksport said Romero and Van de Ven are currently the best centre-back partnership in the world.

“Right now, when you’re actually looking at the Spurs side, it’s a strong team,” O’Hara said.

“Van des Ben is the top drawer, he is the top drawer, he walks to Real Madrid team Romero and walks into Real Madrid team, both of whom will play for Real Madrid.

“Please nominate a better centre herb as a partnership.”
