Former Manchester United and British goalkeeper Ben Foster have a focus on United’s business situation, making bold predictions about the future and naming candidates of his preferences if things go wrong.

Reuben Amorim puts pressure on him amid in an inconsistent outcome at Old Trafford, so Foster pointed out one name straight out as the ideal successor.

His comments released fresh speculation about who will come next if the club decides to break up with the Portuguese coach.

Foster expressed his opinion on his podcast, suggesting that Man United is currently “unbound” and that Amorim may be closer to the exit door than many would expect.

According to Foster, the club was able to decide to act decisively after a poor run in form, saying:

“I think he has a few months left. Maybe… he went through a bad run of two, three, four games that he lost, and then they’ll say, ‘We were enough now, that’s not working.’

As far as the selection of the next United manager Foster is concerned, the former goalkeeper wants Bournemouth’s Andniira Aura to take the United job.

The Spaniards are impressive in Bournemouth, and despite constantly losing key players, the managers keep their team competitive.

‘iraola is for me. To lose half of your team, half of your starting lineup, and still equally impressive, for me, that means you are the right coach. He said on Ben Foster, the Cycling GK podcast.

“But if they were trying to get an irraa or a glassner, that would cost awful money.

“We know that Glasner’s contract is rising in the summer, but he wants £250,000 a week as wages.

Iraola is just one of the names linked to Old Trafford’s work. Crystal Palace manager Oliver Grasner, free agents Gareth Southgate and Zabi Hernandez, and former assistant coach Kieran McKenna were all selected in the media last week.

The club’s hierarchy has yet to decide on Amorim’s future. He can still turn it around, but he needs immediate results at the club.

Iraola would be a great choice, but his lack of experience at the top club could put United in a dilemma.
