Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrrell Hutton criticizes the US President’s PGA following Europe’s victory at the 2025 Ryder Cup

The day removed from the 2025 Ryder Cup and the conversation around the crowd of Beth Page Black continues to sprint through the world of golf. Additional interviews discuss the situation, including those from the top within the PGA of America to those criticised by European players, including British pairs Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick, including PGA of America’s President Don Ray.

In the interview, Leah was portrayed in parallel among the crowds on Long Island in youth soccer games, and said that there are bad actors in most sporting events. He later said he had never heard of the verbal abuse thrown at Rory McIlroy, but he compared the crowd to a Roman crowd.

“Personally, I don’t think they’re at all close. I certainly don’t think Rome will be near me, from what I heard last week,” Hutton said. “To be honest, personally, I don’t agree with what they said there. I don’t know what else to add. Honestly, I think they’re pretty far apart.”

Hutton secured a 3-0-1 record for the European team. This includes half points in Sunday’s match against Morikawa. Fitzpatrick also fought towards half the final day of the competition as his match against Bryson Deccanbeau wasted a 5-up lead.

Fitzpatrick’s half point helped guide Europe to the 14 points needed to hold the cup. In the end, Blue and Gold secured a final scoreline of 15-13, winning the cup perfectly, maintaining a lingering idea around the role of the “Envelope Rules.”

“I saw an interview with a PGA guy discussing it was the same in Rome,” Fitzpatrick said. “For European fans, the fact that he said is pretty offensive to European fans. You know, I don’t want to talk on everyone’s behalf, but when they presented the trophies there and waved, they felt they couldn’t control what was coming out of everyone’s mouths.

“I had a lot of friends who are Americans, who apologise to all sorts of messages, texts, fans, and say they’re really sorry you have to deal with something like that, but Luke and the team did an amazing job with that.

During the trophy presentation, Rea congratulated the European victory, but said the team only “holds” the 45th Ryder Cup. Europeans immediately warned the statement.

“Me and Rosei both looked at each other as if they were saying each other. It wasn’t a very sincere congratulations. “And he said we just held it, but in fact we won it, so…”

Rea has not officially commented on the backlash he received on European players or social media, but he posted an update on his LinkedIn page.

Updates read:

Couple’s thoughts. This is not my profile, it’s not a PGA. That being said, I would like to thank everyone who has reached out to me as a friend and leader in the golf industry. I personally have received some criticism, but with the role, I expect it just as I did when I was a judge. But the students and PGA members who follow me know this, I don’t care. I know who I will serve in the end. When I wrote this sermon three years ago, I meant it, and today I live it. The truth is still true. A new level. A new devil. 💪🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
