Fabrizio Romano talks about Valentin Barco’s move to Chelsea

“Chelsea are in full control of the Barco situation,” Romano said.

“Although we have the same ownership as Chelsea, Valentin Barco is a player that Chelsea have already included in their 26-27 season list.

“So, what we can say going into the summer is that Valentin Barco, together with his agent, has already given the green light to leave Strasbourg and join Chelsea, ultimately in the summer transfer window.

“Barco is fine with that. Barco is ready to move to Chelsea. Now obviously the ownership between the clubs is the same so there won’t be any problems.”

“It’s not completely over yet, but Chelsea’s intention is to take control of the Barco situation and consider Valentin Barco as one of the first signings for the 26-27 season.”

Barko plays primarily as a defensive midfielder at Strasbourg and is a player that coach Liam Rosenior is familiar with.

He can also play as a full-back if needed, and is sure to be an asset for CFC throughout a long and challenging season.
