Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly lined up with things like Real Madrid and Barcelona, circling for the exciting Mexican Wonderkid Gilberto Mora.

The 16-year-old has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in world football, already being compared to those of Kevin De Bruney and Pedri.

That’s according to a TeamTalk report that says Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are the leading suitors of Maura in the UK.

It remains to be seen who will win the race for the Mexican teenager’s signature, but it is certainly only a matter of time before he leaves current club Tijuana.

Mora is looking for a big move next summer, but he could be the next big prospect of moving from Latin America to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos has recently exploited the market, with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrigo signing Brazilian Endric as young people, while Federico Valvade and Franco Mustantouno being recruits of a similar kind.

Still, Chelsea likes to scrutinise the gloves for the best young players, and Mora looks like he really fits the Blues bill.

But while Arsenal may be a more attractive project for now, Mikel Arteta has built a great team that is approaching winning major trophies like the Premier League and Champions League.

If he wants to spend time on excellent career development and victory projects, that might be ideal for Mora, but perhaps he can’t rule out “stepping stone” clubs like Brighton in one of his first moves either.

The seagulls are not currently linked, but we know this is their adoption style, so it will be interesting to see if they will enter the equation at some point.
