Chelsea are interested in signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott this summer.

According to a report from TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs, Chelsea are willing to pay £60m to sign the 22-year-old central midfielder, but the Cherries value him much more than that and have no intention of sanctioning him to leave.

Scott has also been linked with moves to Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Could Chelsea make an acceptable offer for Alex Scott?

It will be interesting to see whether Chelsea intend to make an attractive offer for the player. They need more control in the middle of the park and Scott could be a great signing.

He was a key player for Bournemouth last season and there is no doubt that he has the quality to play for a big club. He has the tools to develop into a top-class midfielder in the Premier League and joining the first team would be ideal for him. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and could offer him a platform to fight for big trophies.

Chelsea could use a player like Scott

Chelsea are looking to bounce back after a disappointing season and signing the best young player in the country would be a step in the right direction. They have already agreed to sign Morgan Rodgers and Scott will add further quality for them in the middle of the park.

He is great at controlling the tempo of the game, creating chances and helping the defense. He has what it takes to develop into a complete central midfielder with the right coaching.

Xabi Alonso could play a key role in his development. However, it will be difficult to convince the Cherries to sell players this summer. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
