  • Who is related to Antoine Semenyo?

Liverpool and Manchester United are both reportedly likely to take advantage of the opportunity to sign Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo for £65m in January.

The Ghanaian international has been in great form in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 11 games so far.

According to The Athletic, Semenyo could leave in January, with Liverpool and Manchester United among the clubs being discussed.

Fabrizio Romano also spoke about Semenyo’s situation, saying on his podcast that he believes there is a good chance the 25-year-old will leave the club this winter due to his £65m release clause.

“I think there is a good possibility that we will see the departure of Antoine Semenho in the January transfer window. It is not guaranteed, but I will leave it open. Let’s see what happens in January,” said the Italian journalist.

“We’ll probably keep it at 70%, maybe 60% in the January transfer window, 30%, 40% in the summer transfer window, but it’s possible.

“Antoine Semenyo has a release clause that is valid in the January transfer window, so January is a possibility. It’s £60m plus £5m in add-ons. That’s the clause in the January transfer window.”

Who is related to Antoine Semenyo?

Semenyo’s excellent form shows he is one of the Premier League’s best attacking players, so it is no surprise that Bournemouth look set to struggle to keep him.

As we reported in the Daily Briefing, Semenyo is a top target for Man United, who also showed interest in him in the summer.

Meanwhile, according to Dave OCKOP, Liverpool bosses held talks with Bournemouth this weekend over the possibility of signing Semenyo.

Semenyo could be ideal to help LFC find a long-term replacement for the aging Mohamed Salah, but he could also certainly make an impact as an upgrade for the likes of MUFC’s Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesco, who also won’t be bringing back loaned outcasts like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Rasmus Hojlund.
