Here are the most recent updates and anticipated return timelines for the Knicks players:

On December 7th at 3:22 pm, Knicks guard Miles McBride exited during the first half of Sunday’s victory over the Orlando Magic and is currently being assessed for a left ankle injury, as reported by SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley. The team expects to have more information about McBride’s condition by Monday. This season, McBride has shined both as a starter and off the bench, averaging a career-high 15.8 points over 19 games with a 46.2 percent shooting rate.

On December 4th at 5:10 pm, the Knicks are close to welcoming back OG Anunoby, who has been upgraded to questionable for Friday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz at Madison Square Garden, according to Begley. Anunoby, sidelined since November 14 with a hamstring injury, is making progress in contact drills and is a hopeful return candidate for the weekend’s game, although his participation is not guaranteed.

On December 3rd at 6:40 pm, head coach Mike Brown reported Anunoby’s progress, noting that he is now able to make contact during practice and is moving in a positive direction, but emphasized there’s no rush to bring him back. Brown also confirmed that Mitchell Robinson will sit out Wednesday’s game for injury management due to the scheduling of back-to-back games.

On November 19th at 9:05 pm, Jalen Brunson was announced as starting against the Mavericks after recovering from a Grade 1 right ankle sprain suffered on November 12. Brunson missed two games but has maintained strong stats this season, averaging 28 points and 6.5 assists across 11 games.

On November 18th at 6:50 pm, Brunson was upgraded to questionable for the game against the Mavericks. The Knicks are relying on him heavily as they chase their first road win of the season amidst injuries to other key players like Anunoby.

On October 28th at 7:18 pm, the Knicks announced that Karl Anthony Towns would play despite a right quadriceps strain, while Gershon Yabusele (left knee sprain), Miles McBride (personal reasons), and Mitchell Robinson (ankle sprain) would be unavailable for the game against the Bucks.

On October 27th at 6:45 pm, Mitchell Robinson was ruled out again due to a left ankle injury and his return date remains uncertain. Towns, McBride, and Yabusele were also listed as questionable due to various injuries and personal reasons.

On October 23rd at 6:10 pm, Robinson was ruled out for the home game against the Celtics, with the team cautious to preserve his strength for the playoffs. Josh Hart and Karl Anthony Towns also were flagged as questionable with back and quad injuries respectively.

On October 22nd at 10:59 pm, Towns revealed he had played through a Grade 2 quadriceps injury during a win over the Cavaliers, impressing fans and teammates with his toughness by contributing 19 points and 11 rebounds despite limited practice time.

Fan Take: Keeping key players like McBride, Anunoby, and Robinson healthy is vital for the Knicks’ playoff aspirations this season. Basketball fans should watch closely how the team manages these injuries because their ability to stay competitive hinges on the timely return and performance of these impact players.
