Coach Kevin Bond Refutes Claims of Posting ‘Vile and Anti-Semitic’ Remarks on Social Media

David O’Rourke, president and CEO of the New York Horse Racing Association, issued a strong condemnation on Tuesday against New York trainer Kevin Bond for posting “vile anti-Semitic comments” on his Facebook account concerning the murder of renowned Hollywood actor and producer Rob Reiner. A comment on Bond’s personal Facebook read, “Fuck that cocky POS Jew Rob Reiner,” in response to a heartless forum post about the killing of Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer.

O’Rourke’s full statement declared: “NYRA strongly condemns the hateful, anti-Semitic remarks posted to trainer Kevin Bond’s Facebook today. NYRA has zero tolerance for hate speech and will promptly launch an investigation.”

Bond denies making the offensive comment, responding via text to The Paulick Report’s voicemail with a statement saying, “The posts attributed to me are shocking and unacceptable but not from me. The comment targeted an account I don’t follow. It seems my account was hacked or a fake similar account was created. I immediately alerted my followers about the hack and deactivated my account. I will do everything to prevent this from happening again and to repair any harm caused to those offended.”

According to the Bond Racing Stables website, Kevin Bond worked as an assistant trainer to his father, Jim Bond, for many years. His bio highlights his deep care for horses and easy-going nature. Kevin began training under his own name in 2024, with 72 races and 8 wins over the past two years. His mother, Tina Marie Bond, is president of the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and a member of the New York Horse Racing Association Board.
