  • Chelsea considering a move for Ian Zviabre
  • Chelsea move could be a good next career step for Ian Zviabre

Chelsea have reportedly emerged as front-runners to secure a move for highly-rated River Plate young forward Ian Zviabre.

The talented 18-year-old is establishing himself as one of South America’s top prospects and it seems only a matter of time before he earns a big move to Europe.

This is not the first time Chelsea have been linked with Subiabre, with Fichajes’ latest update suggesting the Blues are in a battle with Barcelona over the signing of Subiabre.

However, Barcelona are reportedly having financial problems and it could be difficult to get a deal done, so Chelsea are definitely in a better position here.

According to a report from Fichajes, Chelsea and Barcelona are considering a move for Zviabre, whose future at River Plate has been in serious doubt for many years.

The Argentine club are now said to be resigned to losing the teenager, who has refused to sign a new contract amid interest from bigger teams.

Chelsea will no doubt be hoping that they can take advantage of this situation and add yet another elite young talent to their collection.

Subiabre will likely turn his attention to other young players who have been given the chance to play and develop at Chelsea.

CFC is building a long-term project around Estevao Willian and others, while Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandes, and Maro Gusto joined the team at a young age and continue to shine.

It will be interesting to see if Subiabre ends up following them to Stamford Bridge, but we should find out soon enough as he is unlikely to stay at River Plate for long.
