  • Can the Reds convince Williams?

Liverpool are interested in signing Athletic Club Bilbao attacker Nico Williams in the coming months.

The player recently signed a new contract with the Spanish club, which includes a release clause of 100 million euros. Liverpool are reportedly prepared to “spare no expense” in signing him, according to football transfer sources.

However, the Spain international has decided to join Real Madrid instead. It would be a huge blow to the Premier League champions. It will be interesting to see if they can convince him to move to England instead.

Liverpool could use Nico Williams

Williams is a quality player and could make a big difference for Liverpool in the final third. They need quality wingers who can play against defenders and beat them in one-on-one situations. They have been without a player like that since Luis Diaz left.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea are also tracking the player. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to sign the Spaniard at the end of the season.

Premier League clubs have the financial wherewithal to pay the asking price, albeit with significant reasons to extend the contract. However, you have to convince players to join first.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League is very exciting for most players. However, Williams has expressed interest in a move to Real Madrid. It remains to be seen whether the Spanish team is ready to sign him. They have players like Vinicius Junior in that role, and if the Spain international were to join Real Madrid, he would struggle to get regular minutes.
