Chelsea intend to crash Manchester United’s party with late call for January target

Chelsea are interested in signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old is also a target of Manchester United and Manchester City. Both clubs have been negotiating with his agent for several days. However, manager Fabrizio Romano said Chelsea acted late and called up the player today.

It will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old is open to joining the London club, as they are clearly looking to crash the party for their rivals. Chelsea need more quality in their side and signing an African player would be an unusual move.

He is one of the best offensive players in the league right now and could make an immediate impact. A move to Chelsea would be ideal for the player. It would be the ideal next step for him and would see him compete in the Champions League and fight for trophies.

Similarly, Manchester United and Manchester City also need quality and depth in their attacking ranks. They need a dynamic attacker who can work anywhere in the front three and score goals on a regular basis. Ghana International certainly fits that profile. It will be interesting to see which of the three clubs can sign the contract.

In order for the deal to go through, he must pay a termination fee of £65 million. This clause needs to be triggered by January 10th for the Cherries to find a quality replacement.

It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming days. If they can sign a 25-year-old player, they will be able to acquire a top-class asset. Semenyo is only 25 years old and has his best years ahead of him.
